The Anglican Parish of Waikanae seeks to appoint a full-time vicar who offers Christ-centred leadership, is committed to empowering their clergy, staff and laity, and who will work with their community to further God’s kingdom.
Waikanae Parish has vibrant, faithful congregations in each of their three churches, all with their own strong and unique culture: St Andrew’s in Reikorangi, St Luke’s in central Waikanae and St Michael’s at Waikanae Beach.
They are looking for an experienced priest with wholehearted faith and good interpersonal skills to lead them as they grow their whānau and focus on God’s love in their local community, and beyond.
Waikanae is on the Kāpiti Coast, an hour north of Wellington. It has excellent rail and road access to the city and is close to the Tararua mountain range for tramping and a beautiful safe river and beach for swimming. There are excellent schooling choices and a thriving local community with a good mix of young and old.
Further information, including the Waikanae Parish Profile, is available on their website www.anglican.co.nz. You can also learn more about parish life on their Facebook page facebook.com/waikanae.anglican.
If you are sensing a call to be their next vicar, please send a covering letter and CV to the Wellington Diocese’s Bishops’ Office by 30 November 2025.
