This year we are trialling something a little bit different in the interests of making AYM events more accessible. We are running Combined Services and Fanatic’s Cups twice, in different parts of the city, on a Friday, and on a Sunday afternoon or early evening. This is in recognition that young people and their leaders meet at a variety of times, Friday night youth group is not necessarily ‘the’ meeting time anymore.

So in March we gathered, first at St Luke’s in Mt Albert on Friday night, we worshipped and prayed, we explored stations based around the story of Jesus and Zacchaeus and we, of course, shared kai and reconnected with others in youth groups we’ve met at Efest and other combined events.

Then we gathered again on Sunday early evening at St Elizabeth’s, Clendon, where we did much the same thing. They were both joyous occasions and as always it is wonderful to gather together as the family of God.
