We aspire to be a vibrant, relevant, dynamic, missional Church
We look to the future with excitement and hope as the Body of Christ in the Auckland Diocese. Our region is graced with over 100 churches offering a diverse range of worship styles from contemporary to traditional and everything else in between. We offer new and exciting avenues to explore faith outside the physical church, so you can connect with God in different ways that suit you. Go ahead and explore this site to find out what’s happening in your Anglican community…. there is so much to discover!
Alert Levels 2 & 3
The Auckland region is now in Alert Level 3 and the rest of the country is at Level 2 until at least Saturday 6 March.
For the diocese, this means areas in the Greater Auckland Council region are at Level 3. Ministry units to the north of Wellsford and east of Pokeno are at Level 2.
Level 3 means:
Closing your buildings and working from home where possible
Staying in your household bubble
Managing worship and other gatherings online
Weddings and tangihanga can take place, but with no more than 10 people present.
Masks are mandatory on public transport and encouraged when outside your home and where physical distancing of two metres is not possible
Level 2 means:
Gatherings, and worship services can take place but with no more than 100 people present
Communion should be in one kind only and non-contact signs of the peace exchanged.
In all cases extra attention should be given to personal hygiene, venue cleaning and contact tracing.
Please remind yourself of Level 2 and 3 requirements with this chart.
We have been this way before and now have good processes and procedures in place. Let’s all play our part in making sure our communities and people in the wider community stay safe.
