St Michael’s is an Anglo-Catholic inner-city church with a longstanding music history. An established adult choir sings at festivals, Sunday Masses and Evensongs. There is an active Young Voices programme for primary school aged children, who currently sing at mass monthly. The repertoire is traditional and supported by a three-manual Bevington Organ and a Bosendorfer Grand Piano.
Music ministry is well upheld by the clergy and parishioners. The advertised position involves direction of the parish music programme, including organ playing and accompaniment.
