Anglican Youth Ministries
Through Anglican Youth Ministries the Auckland Diocese offers many ways in which young people can connect with each other and their faith. This includes anything from social events, sports, camps & youth worship services that will help you discover more about Jesus, develop leadership skills and much more. There is something for everyone here! We offer fun ways to nurture your relationship with God– plus you’ll get to meet new people and make friends along the way. We are a pretty friendly bunch… so what are you waiting for?
Anglican Youth Ministries is the hub for all things youth, existing to support youth ministry in the Diocese of Auckland. A fourtnightly E-news letter keeps youth leaders updated on youth events and initiatives. If social media is your thing then you can also follow the AYM Facebook Page that anyone can view, but only accepted members can participate (i.e. comment), we will only approve people we know are active in youth ministry in the Auckland Diocese. AYM also has a cool website and you can check that out here
BOLD – Building Outstanding Leaders & Disciples
BOLD is a life changing opportunity for a group of year 11, 12 & 13s to spend a year growing together while developing as leaders!
It’s a chance to get out of your comfort zone, grow in your leadership skills, deepen your relationship with God and participate in what God is doing both here in NZ and overseas. The year will focus on leadership, spiritual growth and practical ministry experience (in both Fiji & Auckland)
The programme begins at Winter Camp in July and runs through to the end of June. As well as Winter Camp, it will include monthly training meetings, attending ‘The Abbey’ in August, a 10-day ministry exchange in Fiji in December (in conjunction with CMS), monthly mentoring sessions and a local ministry exchange here in Auckland too.
Cost: $2200 per person (This is the cost of the overseas trip for which we will be doing some joint fundraising). All other costs (roughly $600 per person) will be covered by AYM. To find out more download an information brochure here.
You can support applicants’ fundraising for their ministry exchange to Fiji in three ways:
1. Buying their chocolate
2. Purchasing tickets to their quiz night in September
3. Giving a donation.
